Did you feel that shift on August 22nd?
The Sun crip walked through the last degree of its fixed fire home sign, Leo, and did a quick Cha Cha Slide into the mutable earth territory of Virgo.
While the Sun in Leo was fervent about standing out, being seen and being heard, the Sun in Virgo is highlighting the little intricate pieces of everything right and wrong with our vitality. Do most people want to broadcast their flaws or shortcomings? Hell no. And that’s the beauty of Virgo Season, for it doesn’t care if you don’t want your imperfections uncovered because it will see them and read them for pure filth, anyway.

The Sun’s ingress into Virgo pairs its illuminating essence with the discriminating power of Mercury, Virgo’s ruler. While Mercury’s other home sign of Gemini collects and disseminates information, Virgo synthesizes it. The exacting and precise nature of Virgo energy getting a boost of vitality from The Sun means a spotlight being shown on the following themes:
- Organization
- Attention to Detail
- Practicality
- Order
- Nit-pickiness
- Adaptability
- Pettiness
- Humility
- Meticulousness
- Intelligence
- Service
- Logic
- Self-Improvement
- Fussiness
- Skepticism
- Discernment
- Helpfulness
- Discrimination
- Fault Finding
- Restlessness
- Perfection
- Health
- Daily Habits
- Criticism
- Productivity
- Worrying
- Analyzing
- Work
- Anxiety

Virgo season will be influenced by Mars, direct and in retrograde motion in its home sign of Aries, squaring Saturn, Pluto, and Jupiter all retrograde in Capricorn. The Virgo Sun will also be trine these three planets in the sign of the goat. While the trine from the Sun will give an ease of energy to our sense of duty in perfecting how we work in integrity, transform existing structures, and grow to be more responsible and accountable, it is important that we refrain from laziness. Simply noticing patterns in our behavior and habits isn’t enough. We must actively work to improve.
Given Mars’ square to all that Capricorn energy during the Season of the Virgin, we can expect a nudge from our inner warrior. Fiery Mars in Aries squaring up against Capricorn energy, particularly in Saturn and Pluto is no joke. This is energy that reveals who bucks against authority, rules, integrity, the death of outdated structures and who is willing to bravely stand up and defend those things. What side we choose to take up arms for will show itself in full force when Saturn and Pluto go direct.
So, how do we help to establish or maintain integrity? Do we unleash worry or our inner warrior? Virgo Season places us face-to-face with the inner workings and details of our issues but it is up to us to be active about them. Are you the worrier or the warrior?

On September 11th, 2020, the Sun will oppose Neptune retrograde in its home sign of Pisces, Virgo’s opposite sign. While oppositions are generally calls for balance, this aspect also calls for us to be extraordinarily clear about what we mean, what we say, and what we do. Neptune’s influence here can cause some to be easily deceived or encourage underhandedness. Being honest, logical, intutive, transparent, and upfront are key lest we get taken for a ride or have others view us with suspicion. Neither one is worth it.
