Receipts & Current Astrological Energy

On Thursday, August 13th, 2020, at 3:14 am eastern, the planet of aggression and assertion, Mars in its home sign of Aries, came into an exact square with the planet of power, death, sex, and transformation,  Pluto, retrograde in Capricorn. Power struggles anyone?

I’ve been seeing this energy play out heavily on social media and in regular interpersonal interactions. Some people are covertly (Pluto) trying to assert (Mars) their presumed power over others (Pluto in Capricorn). Others are overtly trying to do the same. Either way there is a battle (Mars) for control and power (Pluto in Capricorn).

I said a few months back that during Pluto in Capricorn being retrograde, we’d see little energetic Freudian slips from people regarding them telling on themselves as it relates to hidden or secret motives and plans. I mentioned that these energetic slips would bubble up to the surface unbeknownst to those doing the slipping. It’s truly been interesting to watch and has intensified over the past 2 weeks.

Mars in Aries is also squaring Jupiter retrograde in Capricorn by 5° indicating a struggle with inner aggression being intensified. The aggression needs an outlet and it’s getting one. People who have been trying to suppress their issues with personal responsibility, asserting themselves, and taking responsibility for their growth are feeling some heat under their asses. Also, if anyone has been unaware of someone else’s attempts to control them, this is prime time for the universe to give you the blessing (Jupiter) of the reality of things (Capricorn).

The Sun conjunct Mercury and trine Mars is giving vital energy to what’s going on. Mars in Aries and Mercury in Leo are also trine presenting an opportunity for thoughts (Mercury) to be expressed with vigor (Mars). This adds some spiciness into the mix  of any power struggles at hand. Either those attempting to wield power will outwardly express it finally, or those who they are trying to control will finally become aware of the manipulation and stand up against it.

One thing I’ve been seeing popup all over social media in the midst of this energy is people promptly providing receipts through screenshots of texts, messages, emails, etc. that exposes the truth about people who’ve been been lying or being underhanded. I feel the influence of Neptune, retrograde in its home sign of Pisces, as some “fog” and illusion is lifting from things we were previously fooled by. In the age of smart phones it’s easier than ever to call people out on deceit, but everyone isn’t acting like they got the memo.

Mars is also getting closer to an exact square,  on August 24th, 2020, with Saturn, retrograde in its home sign of Capricorn. In its home sign, Saturn is reminding us of the importance of working in integrity, and that a failure to do so always results in us receiving the appropriate punishment. Saturn is the ruler of order, structure, time, and karma so you most definitely don’t want to piss him off. A challenge from Mars in fiery Aries with this square is going to show you exactly who and what has no respect for boundaries and who cares not about the consequences Daddy Saturn is going to dole out once he’s out of retrograde motion. So, keep your eyes open and keep those receipts!
